The Progressive Democrats (ProDem) joined the good people of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large in celebrating the historic coronation of His Imperial Majesty, Ọba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

This was contained in a goodwill message released in Ibadan on Friday by the Ọ̀yọ̀ state Publicity Secretary of the group, Comrade Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan saying, this epochal event is not only a blessing to Ibadan but also a symbol of cultural continuity, unity, and progress for the Yoruba race.
According to the statement, "Ọba Ladoja’s ascension to the throne is a testament to his unwavering commitment to public service, leadership, and the preservation of our cherished traditions.
"As a Pressure group, we are confident that under his reign, Ibadanland will experience renewed peace, harmony, and sustainable development. His wealth of political and administrative experience will no doubt be an asset in fostering unity among indigenes and strengthening the cultural heritage of our people.
PRODEM commends His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to peace, inclusiveness, and development in Oyo State, which has made this historic coronation possible in an atmosphere of harmony and celebration.
While also acknowledging with deep respect, the presence of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at this epochal event. His participation underlines the national importance of Ibadan as a center of history, tradition, and political relevance in Nigeria.
"On this joyous occasion, PRODEM Ọ̀yọ̀ state chapter extends its heartfelt prayers for long life, wisdom, and a prosperous reign for the Olubadan. May Ibadanland continue to thrive and flourish under his distinguished leadership" group prayed.
