A respected Muslim Scholar, Professor AbdMajeed AbdRozaq Alaro of University of Ilorin has called on Muslims across the country and beyond to embrace unity, stressing that disunity among the faithful weakens the strength of the Ummah and contradicts the teachings of Islam.

Speaking during a Public Lecture organized by the Federation of Ahlus Sunnah Organization of Nigeria (FASON) tagged "Our Faith, Future, Finance, (4Fs)" at the University of Ibadan Islamic Conference Center, the scholar reminded the Muslim gatgering that the Qur’an and Hadith strongly emphasize brotherhood, love, and togetherness. He noted that divisions based on ethnicity, sect, or personal interest have no place in Islam and only serve to hinder collective progress.
“Muslims are one body. When a part of the body suffers, the whole body feels the pain,” he said, quoting Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “We must put aside differences and work together in peace, tolerance, and solidarity.”
The scholar urged leaders at all levels to set examples of fairness and justice while encouraging the youth to avoid actions that promote hatred, violence, or division. He also called for stronger collaboration among Islamic organizations to foster peace, education, and social development within the Muslim community.
Addressing the gathering, the chairman of the occasion Sheikh Dr Abdullahi Bala Lau spoke extensively regarding the theme "Our 4Fs" saying, no 'F' should miss in the life of any Muslim, be it Faith, Finance, Future, and Family.
He said "Whoever stands by the statement and actions of Faith which is "La ilaha illa Allahu" is already in the fold of this religion no matter his shortcomings.
"Our coming together is definitely going to pump more power and make Muslim population a formidable force.
While delivering his closing remarks, the Chief Host, Fadeelatul Sheikh Tajudeen A’Kareem Al-Adaby (Babalagbeni), thanked participants and noted that unity in Islam is non-negotiable. He explained that one of the key aims of the programme was to foster stronger ties across Nigeria’s North, South, East, and West.

Also in attendance were His Royal Majesty, Oba A’Azeez Olatunbosun Adebanji, the Akire of Ikire Ilé, and Oba Muhammad Raji Qoseem (Ilufemiloye I), among others.
