As Ibadanland gets new Olubadan today, the Special Adviser to Gov Makinde On Education Intervention, Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun Tiamy has congratulated the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Hon Tiamy in his goodwill message released in Ibadan by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan said, the exemplary leadership qualities, cross-national experience and goodwill earned the Former Senator and Governor, the position of Olubadan of Ibadanland and will equally drive more developments to the entire state.

Hon Tiamy equally commends His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to peace, inclusiveness, and development in Oyo State, which has made this historic coronation possible in an atmosphere of harmony and celebration.

While also acknowledging with deep respect, the presence of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at this epochal event. His participation underlines the national importance of Ibadan as a center of history, tradition, and political relevance in Nigeria.

In his words, “Following the coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, I'm congratulating his immediate family at Isale Osi compound, the good people of Ibadan, Olubadan in Council and Oyo state government at large over this historic feat.


“The new Olubadan has over the years demonstrated professionalism, patriotism, selflessness and humility in all his endeavors.

“I have no doubt in his capacity to steer the affairs of the Olubadan in Council.

“Oba Ladoja will bring to bear his experiences in the private and public sectors, to drive development in Ibadan and other parts of Oyo state.

“The choice of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland will make a new wave,” he concluded.

While urging the new monarch, to sustain the good works of his predecessors, Tiamy urged all sons and daughters of Ibadan and Oyo state at large, to rally support for the new Olubadan.
