Tiamy in a statement issued and made available to the newsmen through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan shortly after Eid prayer in Ibadan on Friday, said: “Nigeria will make quicker progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials as a nation if its citizens foster peace, security and stability which are essential for development by showing greater respect for national safety and public laws.”

The Special Adviser to the Gov urged Muslim Faithfuls and all Nigerians by extension to imbibe the lessons of commitment, dedication and obedience to higher authority inherent in Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son “in fulfillment of the covenant made to God which Eid-ul-Adha commemorates”.

He reminded Muslims to always be guided by the attributes and lessons from the life and times of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) which symbolizes piety, peace, love, tolerance and humanitarian.

Honourable Tiamy also congratulated all Nigerian pilgrims especially from Oyo State for performing 1446A.H Hajj rites in fulfilment of a key injunction of their faith, urging them to fervently pray for Oyo and the Nation at large saying: “We must put Nigeria first in all our endeavours.”
