An Islamic Scholar, Imam of Mosadi Oluwa Islamic Center, and Mudir, Ma’hdu Diraasaatul Qur’an Wal – Lugha, Oworonshoki Lagos, Dr Ridwan Ibrahim has charged the Muslim congregations to publicise the World Arabic Language Day as other days are being publicised by Muslims and to also make Arabic Language a means of interactions in all aspects of life.

Imam Dr Ridwan stated this on Wednesday 18th, December being the World Arabic Language Day while addressing congregation during his usual morning sermon in the Mosque, saying if Muslims do not publicise the Language of their religion, no one would do that for them.
"It is important to note that United Nations had scheduled every December 18th as the World Arabic Language Day (WALD) and we Muslims should make it popular among other World Celebrated Days across the globe.

"I want to also charge everyone to encourage their wards to speak Arabic language at home as they always encourage them to speak English and other languages for them to have good understanding of our Deen (Islam)", he said.
